Well another Christmas come and gone and know we all have to take down our lights UNLESS you live in Langley were we have never in 20 years had so much SNOW. It is great that we had a WHITE Christmas. BUT know I would like to take my things down and put them away for another year But with 2 feet of snow this year (almost) I cant find my LED or the exstention cords And the lights I do see are pretty frozen to the trees BUT HEY thats ok It was an awsome year with 50 times the cars from last year and everyone had great things to say about the lights Even with the lights out for almost a week they are still talking about it so I guess its been a great year
KNOW we take a few months off and I'll start over again JUST today I recieved 2 new songs (THANKS AGAIN) and I'm making out my new sequence out on paper so I can see how its going to work with the lights for next year. But I an planning to add on another controller but first I'm upgradeing my computer larger hard drive and putting a secound monitor so I can work with 32 channels at once. so I'll keep in touch with all that are around and here to share what ever I can take care ALL OF YOU and will talk to you all later in the months to come HAVE A GREAT DAY and talk to you later JOHN

[img]John, are you forgetting Halloween? Now that your proficient with the LOR equipment 1 time a year is just not enough! I have sequences I will share, I've attached a picture just as a teaser. This took about 20 hours of prep and 2 to 3 hours for setup.

Yeah, I took down the lights along the walkway today (upper). I'll take the lights off the doorway soon, but the rest of the house will have to wait until April or until the snow is gone! There's no way I'm getting on a ladder until the ground is thawed and dry!

Mine are still up. They're buried under snow, so I'll probably just leave them up until this weekend....

Finally we have some nice weather with temps near the 0 Celsius mark. I manage to take a lot down, with only 8 dear,6 mini trees, the mini mega tree, ferris wheel left standing and ground stakes. I am afraid that the mini trees and deer may need to wait, along with the ferris wheel until mid March or mid April before they come down.

I may be able to get the mini mega tree down next weekend.

Today as I was taking the decorations down, I had more cars with people waving at me with big smiles of appreciation for a great Christmas display. It truly was a great joy this Christmas season.

I am only sorry I had a few hiccups just a few days before Christmas with the controllers and cars lined up for a show that never came, but on Christmas eve and Christmas day I manage to pull off a good show.

We're having the same problems. It has been a real challenge to get the lights all down as some stuff was still buried. I think I can probably get out there and finish it off today hopefully....

We stopped lighting our lights in January, but lit the tree with the all red lights 4 Valentine's Day, then I took them down when we had a thaw the latter part of February. I'll have them up again 2 start lighting them on U.S. Thanksgiving night.

I manage to get some extension cords put away that were buried under snow/ice, plus I finally got to put my last soldier guard house away today as well.

Still have a 7ft Ferris wheel it the front yard, deer, a mini tree, 6ft tree and 1 wood cutout still on the front yard....(frozen). Wheel can be moved but the back yard has a lot of snow still.

Oh well it is slowly coming down.

Tonight is our last night for the lights, it's going to be awfully dark around here. We plan to start tomorrow to take things down, especially the inflatables. We've got so much snow in the yard this year, it's going to be a job and a half. I started a Christmas binder last year listing everything that we have and where it was in the yard. I've got my drawing of where everything was this year almost done too. It kinda makes things alot more easier to figure out. I'm sure our neighbors think we're crazy, we walk around the yard in the middle of summer trying to plan things out.

Same to you John and hope that everyone has a Happy New Year :-)

It will be my (sniff) night of lights tonight.
At midnight I am flashing everything for about 5 minutes.
Then off for another year.

I took mine down this afternoon. A lot of work and it was wet wet wet out there! They're drying off in the garage before I pack em away. I agree - its sad to see them go. Seems so dark out there and so bare! Till next year!

We have so much snow here I've gotten permission from "She who must be Obeyed" to keep the lights on with a soft fading animation for a couple of weeks. MA really likes the colors against the snow. It also helps that I bought her a snowmobile for Christmas, I've got a ton of browny points. This next couple of weeks should allow me to get the better part of next years sequencing done before I have to shut them off, won't take them down until it warms up a bit more though.

Happy New Year Everybody

Too cold and to much snow here as well to take most of the decorations down, nevertheless I may give it a shot tomorrow though and see how far I get.

I am starting to sequence some more shows for next year.......would be nice to do some test, but I can wait for another 11 months.

We're still running ours, tonight will be the last night. I was hoping to take some down today(supposed to be warm -9ish) but had some requests to run it tonight as well. Some people from out of town and neighbors. I guess quite a few out of town people saw it on the news.
So hopefully tomorrow, it's suppose to be -17 for a high..so not to bad.

Well I took the lights off the Garage and along the fence next to the driveway. I also took all the blow molds down, and most of the wood cuts outs. Count down clock too.

Mini trees, deer, and other lawn ordainments will stay up because they are frozen in place.

Well take the lights off the bushes Sunday if possible.
